Our partner, a global leader in IT solutions, is looking for a motivated Accounting & Finance Specialist to join their Budapest-based team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage full-scope accounting activities, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and general ledger reconciliations
  • Drive month-end and year-end closing processes according to both Local GAAP (HAS) and IFRS standards
  • Participate in annual budgeting and forecasting, leveraging a newly established financial structure
  • Prepare financial reports for headquarters and external stakeholders, ensuring timely data flow to accounting agencies for tax reporting
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal, external, and tax auditors by providing necessary documentation and explanations
  • Identify and implement automation or process improvements to enhance financial controls and efficiency

Requirements:

  • Deep understanding of Hungarian Accounting Standards (HAS) and tax regulations is essential
  • Practical experience in IFRS reporting is required
  • Fluency in English is required for daily collaboration with international teams and headquarters
  • A positive, "can-do" attitude with a hunger for learning and the ability to exercise good judgment in financial matters
