Accounting Analyst

• Performs general or cost accounting activities requiring some insight and depth of understanding
• Provides direction on matters involving cost determination problems, or issues such as inventory valuation, distribution of overhead and product pricing
• Provides guidelines for standard cost approaches used in business decisions and establishes and monitors cost reduction programs
• Conducts special studies and analyses such as determination of work-in-house and cost impact of proposed processes
• Performs month end close activities, such as journal entry preparation, general ledger account reconciliations and financial reporting
• Monitors activities and transactions to ensure adherence to corporate policies and internal controls
• Performs variance analysis and provides recommendations to enhance plant profitability
• Performs inventory analysis and provides recommendations to reduce obsolete and excess issues

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years of experience
• Advanced Excel skills
