Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Analyst to join our team in South Portland, Maine. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone with a strong background in financial services and accounting systems. The role requires expertise in managing accounting functions, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with auditing standards.

Job Responsibility:

Analyze financial transactions and records to ensure accuracy and compliance with established guidelines
Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes efficiently to maintain financial stability
Utilize accounting software systems to streamline billing functions and reporting activities
Conduct audits to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies
Prepare detailed financial reports and summaries to support decision-making processes
Collaborate with internal teams to optimize ERP systems and enhance operational workflows
Monitor and reconcile discrepancies in financial accounts, ensuring timely resolution
Support budgeting and forecasting activities to align with organizational goals
Implement improvements to accounting procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency
Maintain detailed documentation of financial activities for future reference and audits

Requirements:

Proficiency in accounting software systems, including ERP platforms
Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes
Experience with auditing practices and regulatory compliance
Familiarity with billing functions and financial reporting systems
Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams
