Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Analyst to join our client's team in Irmo, SC. This role requires someone with a strong understanding of financial processes, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to handle repetitive daily tasks with efficiency and precision. The ideal candidate will thrive in a structured environment and excel at managing high-volume reconciliations and banking activities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform daily reconciliations for multiple accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies promptly
  • Monitor account balances to prevent negative outcomes and maintain overall financial stability
  • Manage escrow client accounts with a thorough understanding of transaction flows, including debits and credits
  • Process check runs three times daily, including pulling funds, reviewing for voids, and issuing refunds
  • Execute banking activities such as ACH transfers and positive pay transactions with precision
  • Ensure proper allocation of transactions within QuickBooks, addressing errors and maintaining clean records
  • Collaborate with other divisions to handle daily financial operations effectively
  • Apply critical thinking to identify and correct issues within financial processes, ensuring transactions zero out appropriately
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel skills for reporting and analysis, ensuring data integrity
  • Maintain professionalism and focus on tasks, avoiding distractions and contributing to a productive work environment

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
  • Proficiency in journal entries, general ledger management, and account reconciliations
  • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions
  • Ability to manage high-volume transactions and perform detailed reconciliations
  • Solid understanding of debit and credit flows within financial systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve issues
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining consistent daily operations
  • Ability to accept feedback constructively and adapt to improve processes
