Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Analyst to join our client's team in Irmo, SC. This role requires someone with a strong understanding of financial processes, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to handle repetitive daily tasks with efficiency and precision. The ideal candidate will thrive in a structured environment and excel at managing high-volume reconciliations and banking activities.

Job Responsibility:

Perform daily reconciliations for multiple accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies promptly
Monitor account balances to prevent negative outcomes and maintain overall financial stability
Manage escrow client accounts with a thorough understanding of transaction flows, including debits and credits
Process check runs three times daily, including pulling funds, reviewing for voids, and issuing refunds
Execute banking activities such as ACH transfers and positive pay transactions with precision
Ensure proper allocation of transactions within QuickBooks, addressing errors and maintaining clean records
Collaborate with other divisions to handle daily financial operations effectively
Apply critical thinking to identify and correct issues within financial processes, ensuring transactions zero out appropriately
Utilize Microsoft Excel skills for reporting and analysis, ensuring data integrity
Maintain professionalism and focus on tasks, avoiding distractions and contributing to a productive work environment

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
Proficiency in journal entries, general ledger management, and account reconciliations
Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions
Ability to manage high-volume transactions and perform detailed reconciliations
Solid understanding of debit and credit flows within financial systems
Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve issues
Strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining consistent daily operations
Ability to accept feedback constructively and adapt to improve processes
