Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to join our team on a contract basis in Rancho Cucamonga, California. In this role, you will focus on managing accounts payable functions, processing invoices, and ensuring timely payments. This position requires strong organizational skills and proficiency in accounting software to support our operations within the food and food processing industry.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage the full cycle of accounts payable processes, including non-inventory items and limited purchase orders
  • Perform 2- and 3-way matching for invoices as required
  • Apply cash payments accurately and maintain related records
  • Prepare and process weekly check runs, ensuring timely payments
  • Utilize Microsoft Business Central and Excel for tracking, reporting, and reconciliation tasks
  • Enter invoices into the accounting system with precision and attention to detail
  • Sort aging reports in Excel and create payment sheets for approval
  • Build payment batches in the system for review and transmission
  • Generate manual checks and ensure proper mailing and documentation
  • Review vendor invoices paid through automated systems or portals, ensuring accuracy

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or related accounting roles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Business Central and Excel for financial tracking and reporting
  • Familiarity with accounts payable processes, including invoice entry and check preparation
  • Ability to perform account reconciliation and manage aging reports
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Experience in cash applications and payment processing
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles and billing functions
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management
