Accounting Analyst

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts across multiple entities and collaborate with relevant teams to resolve outstanding items
• Prepare and analyze bank account reconciliations, addressing discrepancies and implementing preventive solutions
• Process utility invoices, upload documentation to SharePoint, and compile monthly reports while coordinating with purchasing on incentives and tax recovery
• File sales tax returns and ensure compliance with reporting requirements
• Assist in month-end closing activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Support the annual financial audits by preparing necessary documentation and addressing auditor inquiries
• Maintain organized task lists and provide regular updates on open items
• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functions, such as pivot tables, vlookup, and text manipulation, for reporting and reconciliation
• Provide assistance with accounts payable processes when required
• Undertake additional tasks or special projects as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Minimum of five years of accounting experience with a focus on attention to detail
• Proficiency in account reconciliation, including payroll and credit card transactions
• Strong knowledge of sales tax filing and reporting processes
• Familiarity with Infor LN or comparable enterprise resource planning systems
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

Experience with Workday payroll systems is advantageous
