Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Accounting & Admin Manager for an onsite position in Turners Falls, Massachusetts. In this role, you will assist with financial operations and human resources, ensuring compliance and efficiency across the organization. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone with a keen attention to detail and a strong background in accounting and human resources.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist with month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting and other general accounting as needed
  • Assist with Payroll preparation as needed
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with industry standards
  • Reconcile accounts and review journal entries to maintain accurate financial data
  • Coordinate employee onboarding processes, including benefit enrollment and orientation
  • Manage compensation and benefits programs to support employee satisfaction
  • Develop and update the employee handbook to align with organizational policies
  • Handle accounts payable operations, ensuring efficient payment processes
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements (EEO/AA/FMLA, ADA etc.)
  • Monitor employee performance and provide support for skill development initiatives
  • Collaborate with leadership and support organizational growth

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in accounting and human resources
  • Knowledge of month-end close procedures
  • Familiarity with financial statements and account reconciliation practices
  • Proficiency in managing journal entries and accounts payable
  • Experience with employee onboarding, benefits administration, and HR practices
  • Ability to manage compensation and performance management systems effectively
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in relevant accounting software and tools
  • Support and implement hiring and training based on mission, values and priorities
  • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred or willing to become credentialed
