This is an exciting opportunity to join our Southeast Asia Finance team at Demant, based at our Technology & Innovation Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This is a unique opportunity to join a well‑established global organization, where you will have the chance to make a meaningful impact and shape the future of our finance department. As our new Accountant, you will be part of the Southeast Asia Finance team, which comprises nine dedicated professionals supporting the region. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for the accounting and finance functions at our growing Technology & Innovation Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You will collaborate closely with specialists in accounting, audit, financial reporting, tax, and budgeting. We also offer the opportunity to participate in global audit projects alongside energetic and highly engaged colleagues.
Job Responsibility:
Manage full spectrum of the accounting functions, including payables and receivables, fixed assets, general ledger, and financial reporting
Responsible for accurate and timely month-end closing, preparation of weekly, monthly management reports and annual financial reports
Prepare Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
Support in budgeting and financial analysis
Liaise with tax agents, banks and external auditors for audit & tax filing
Coding of vendor invoices in system and processing vendor payment
Furnish Statements of Account to customers
Processing of employee expense claim in system
Contact customer to follow up on payments and outstanding
Reconciliation of monthly petty cash movement
Requirements:
At least 3 years of work experience, preferably with audit experience
Degree in Accountancy, ACCA or equivalent accounting professional qualification
Knowledge of ERP or Accounting Systems (Example Microsoft NAV, AX or D365)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Fluent in English
Good team player
Ability to prioritize and manage expectations
A keen eye for detail
Ability to work independently and have the will to make a difference
Great interpersonal skills, ask good questions and listen to what others are saying
