Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Ohkay Owingeh, New Mexico. This role requires an individual who excels in managing financial processes, utilizing accounting software, and ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounting systems and a deep understanding of financial operations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • utilize accounting software systems to streamline financial operations and ensure data accuracy
  • prepare and analyze balance sheet accounts, ensuring all entries are accurate and well-documented
  • conduct audits to verify compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
  • collaborate with team members to maintain and improve ERP systems for efficient financial management
  • process financial transactions using tools like Concur and ADP, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
  • assist in preparing financial statements and reports for organizational decision-making
  • support the implementation and optimization of accounting functions and workflows
  • monitor and reconcile account discrepancies, providing solutions to resolve issues effectively
  • stay updated on changes in accounting standards and best practices to ensure compliance.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in accounting roles, with a strong understanding of financial processes
  • proficiency in accounting software systems and ERP platforms
  • familiarity with tools such as ADP and Concur for financial management
  • expertise in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes
  • ability to conduct audits and analyze balance sheet accounts
  • strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in reconciling account discrepancies
  • solid knowledge of accounting standards and compliance requirements
  • excellent organizational and communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams.
