We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Hinsdale, Illinois. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the implementation of finance software while ensuring data integrity and optimizing accounting processes. This position requires a strong foundation in accounting principles, experience with systems implementation, and proficiency with finance automation tools.
Job Responsibility:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and contribute to the planning phase of software implementation
Analyze and map accounting workflows, ensuring seamless integration between existing systems and the new software
Assist in configuring software modules to align with financial controls, payroll functions, and reporting standards
Provide expertise during testing and troubleshooting processes, resolving accounting-related discrepancies
Facilitate training sessions for accounting staff and develop user-friendly documentation and guides
Review and validate financial data migration to ensure accuracy and completeness
Monitor post-implementation outcomes and recommend improvements to enhance software utilization
Perform reconciliations and verify reporting accuracy to maintain data integrity
Support ongoing optimization efforts and identify opportunities for process enhancements
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
At least 3 years of accounting experience, with exposure to systems implementation
Solid knowledge of accounting principles, including payroll, financial reporting, and internal controls
Proficiency in accounting platforms and finance automation tools such as Microsoft D365, Oracle NetSuite, Workday, or QuickBooks
Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail for data validation and troubleshooting
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams
Previous experience with general ledger, journal entries, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR)
Familiarity with bank reconciliations and financial reporting processes
