This position is located onsite and is responsible for assisting the Staff Accountant and Assistant Director of Finance in maintaining the general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations. This position has direct contact with employees and guests, which requires effective communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
Job Responsibility:
Assist the Staff Accountant and Assistant Director of Finance in maintaining the general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
Perform with accuracy and timeliness, all accounting and financial reporting for the Vail property
Ensure compliance with internal controls and safeguard the assets and resources of the hotel
Ensure monthly bank reconciliations and cash counts
Coordinate and support offshore AP, Income Audit, and Payroll teams as needed
Maintain harmonious and professional relationships with all departments and Home Office
Requirements:
College degree
1+ years management experience in finance, preferably in a hotel setting
Working technical knowledge of generally accepted accounting principals
Service Passion for Luxury Hospitality
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Fluency in English
Current work authorization in the United States
