Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team in Sterling Heights, Michigan, on a Contract-to-Permanent basis. Job Responsibility:

Prepare and review financial statements, including monthly and quarterly reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Analyze profit and loss statements to identify trends and provide actionable insights
Assist with month-end close procedures, including journal entries and reconciliations
Manage accounts payable and payroll processes, serving as a backup resource when needed
Perform financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making processes
Consolidate financial data across multiple entities and joint ventures
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless financial operations and reporting
Utilize QuickBooks for general ledger management and financial tracking
Support quarterly finance committee meetings by preparing and presenting relevant financial data
Foster a positive and collaborative office environment while balancing work-life priorities.

Requirements:

Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management
Strong proficiency in preparing journal entries and performing bank reconciliations
Familiarity with financial statement preparation and profit and loss analysis
Experience with payroll systems, preferably Proliant, is a plus
Knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software
Background in healthcare or medical accounting is advantageous but not required
Ability to handle financial operations for multiple entities and joint ventures
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative and outgoing personality
