Job Description:

Contract-to-permanent opportunity within the machinery manufacturing industry, offering the chance to contribute to critical financial operations and processes. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing accounting tasks, streamlining processes, and supporting audits while working closely with the Controller.

Job Responsibility:

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Perform detailed balance sheet reviews and reconciliations
Assist in audit preparation and compliance
Conduct cost accounting analysis including standard costing and fixed asset accounting
Prepare sales and use tax reports
Utilize advanced Excel functions for data analysis
Support month-end close processes including journal entries and general ledger maintenance
Handle large volumes of data entry with attention to accuracy

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency in accounting software, such as Infor Sightline, and advanced Excel skills
Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and processes
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
Knowledge of fixed asset accounting and standard costing methods
Experience in preparing and reviewing account reconciliations
Familiarity with sales and use tax regulations and compliance preferred
