We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Charlotte, North Carolina. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to significant projects and apply your expertise in accounting within a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction accounting and a strong understanding of financial processes.
Job Responsibility:
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure financial records are up-to-date
Prepare and record journal entries while adhering to accounting standards
Conduct bank reconciliations to verify account balances and transactions
Utilize CMiC software to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency
Collaborate with project teams to provide accurate financial reporting for construction-related activities
Analyze financial data and reports to support decision-making processes
Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and company policies
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and documentation for audits
Provide support for special projects and initiatives as required
Requirements:
Proven experience in accounting, preferably within the construction industry
Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management
Strong understanding of journal entries and bank reconciliation processes
Familiarity with CMiC software is highly desirable
Knowledge of construction accounting practices and standards
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
