Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Ault, Colorado. This role involves overseeing financial processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing valuable insights that support the organization's goals. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounting practices and excel in managing financial records and reporting.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare accurate financial statements, reports, and records to ensure transparency and compliance
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable operations, ensuring timely and efficient processing
  • Perform reconciliations for bank accounts and general ledgers on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Assist in the development of budgets and contribute to financial planning initiatives
  • Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights for strategic business decisions
  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations in all financial practices
  • Coordinate with auditors and provide necessary documentation during internal and external audits
  • Update and maintain accounting policies and procedures to reflect best practices

Requirements

  • Proficiency in managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger operations and journal entries
  • Experience in performing accurate bank reconciliations
  • Familiarity with Dynamics NAV and its application in accounting processes
  • Understanding of cost of goods sold (COGS) and work-in-progress (WIP) accounting
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing financial records
  • Ability to analyze financial data and present insights effectively
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and regulatory compliance standards
