The Accountant will serve as the primary accounting professional for the organization, owning day-to-day accounting operations and playing a key role in financial reporting, analysis, and process improvement. This is a highly visible role that requires a polished, confident professional who is comfortable interacting with company ownership and leadership when questions arise. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytically strong, and highly proficient in Excel, with the ability to manage and interpret complex spreadsheets.
Job Responsibility:
Manage full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable
Oversee cash flow management and daily liquidity monitoring
Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger
Perform monthly account reconciliations and lead the month-end close process
Prepare, analyze, and present monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
Maintain fixed asset records using Sage Fixed Assets
Perform cost accounting analysis related to a job shop manufacturing environment, including product profitability
Develop and maintain production labor and operational reporting
Serve as backup for payroll administration
Lead the year-end physical inventory process
Coordinate with external tax accountants on year-end review and tax filings
Act as the internal subject matter expert and primary administrator for the ERP system (Infor Visual Manufacturing)
Respond to financial questions from ownership with confidence and clarity
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred, but not required
3–5 years of progressive accounting experience with broad ownership of accounting functions
Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required
Strong financial reporting experience with the ability to explain results clearly
Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to manage and analyze complex spreadsheets
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently
Polished, confident communicator who can interact effectively with leadership and ownership
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
