Find your future with us. BAA Finance is seeking an Accountant to be part of our growing Financial Accounting team. This is a Full Time; Permanent role based 100% onsite in Port Melbourne reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager. The Financial Accounting team at BAA manages our P&L and Balance Sheet including reconciliations, SAP GL, cash, offshore AP & AR teams, Monthly / Quarterly / Annual and Statutory Reporting. In addition, we liaise with key stakeholders internally and externally and collaborate with other Boeing teams to meet FBT, GST and Corporate Tax requirements.
Job Responsibility:
Complete Month-end processes in SAP including intercompany balancing
Maintain SAP GL (AUD & USD) in SAP
Perform GL maintenance in SAP
Maintain project budgets & settlements
Review system interfaces for accuracy & timeliness
Maintain Asset registers, run depreciation and complete monthly Asset reporting
Prepare Monthly & Quarterly reports & Schedules
Identify, complete and resolve GL reconciliations
Maintain subledger, Cost Centre clearing and banking
Review balance sheet provisions
Support reporting requirements for Audit, FBT, Tax and month-end
Review Financial compliance and adherence to GAAP and Boeing Company Policies
Requirements:
Hold relevant Accounting Degree and 2 – 5 years’ experience
Have commenced CA or CPA
Be confident in applying GAAP and be ready to take the next step in your career in a hands-on environment
Familiar with using SAP
Attention to detail along with investigation and problem-solving skills
Willingness to grow and manage tasks – to know what direction to go in and when to ask for help
Demonstrated planning and organisational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good teaming and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage across a diverse workforce
