Job Description:

Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.

Job Responsibility:

Assist with monthly and quarterly close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial results
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for assigned general ledger accounts including cash, credit cards, travel expenses, and outside contractors
Review supplier onboarding documents to ensure completeness and accuracy of data entered into the system
Perform monthly variance analysis and develop a strong understanding of financial data in the context of broader business operations
Maintain documentation and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls to align with SOX requirements
Collaborate cross-functionally with business partners such as Accounts Payable, Supply Chain, and Finance to establish best practices and drive continuous process improvement
Participate in process improvement projects to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of close-related processes

Requirements:

2+ years of related experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Strong Excel skills
Detail oriented and highly organized and high degree of initiative
Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills needed to develop collaborative working relationships with other departments
Ability to understand problems quickly and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment
Excellent technical accounting skills with a detailed understanding of current US GAAP

Nice to have:

Big 4 and/or Public Company experience is a plus
ERP (SAP or Oracle) systems experience is a plus
CPA is a plus
Experience with Blackline accounts reconciliation software
Experience with system implementations and UAT testing
