Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this role, you will oversee essential financial processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management, ensuring accuracy and compliance. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise to a dynamic organization.

Job Responsibility:

Handle accounts payable processes, including verifying and processing invoices promptly
Manage accounts receivable activities, ensuring timely collection and accurate recordkeeping
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure financial data consistency
Prepare and post journal entries to support accurate financial reporting
Conduct bank reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies
Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring deadlines are met
Generate financial reports and statements for internal and external use
Collaborate with other departments to support financial operations and resolve issues
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Requirements:

Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management
Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries
Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation processes
Familiarity with accounting principles and standards
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
