Job Description

We are looking for an Accountant to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia in a Contract to Permanent role. This position supports day-to-day accounting operations with a focus on payables, reconciliations, rebate calculations, and tax-related reporting. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling both financial tasks and general office support responsibilities.

Job Responsibility

  • Process vendor invoices accurately and record accounts payable transactions in a timely manner
  • Calculate customer rebate amounts and maintain supporting documentation for review and payment
  • Perform bank account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure accurate financial records
  • Reconcile cash activity to bank records on a weekly basis and resolve outstanding items promptly
  • Prepare and submit sales and use tax filings in compliance with applicable requirements
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail as part of daily administrative support activities
  • Monitor office inventory levels and coordinate replenishment of essential supplies as needed

Requirements

  • 4-year College Degree with an Accounting focus or equivalent
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ general accounting experience
  • Experience handling accounts payable functions and invoice entry within an accounting environment
  • Working knowledge of bank reconciliations and cash balancing procedures
  • Ability to prepare or support sales and use tax return filings accurately
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain organized financial records
  • Ability to think independently, possesses an analytical mindset, self-motivated
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to manage routine responsibilities independently
