Job Description:

Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Accountant for a long-term contract. The Accountant will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks essential for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies. The ideal candidate is analytical, highly organized, and possesses a strong knowledge of accounting processes.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and maintain accurate journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports
Ensure compliance with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings
Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections
Monitor account balances and investigate discrepancies
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement
Prepare and present financial reports to management
Coordinate with internal and external auditors by providing required documentation and reports
Assist in ensuring compliance with governmental and regulatory agencies
Support tax filings and ensure adherence to tax regulations
Identify potential tax implications of business transactions
Participate in organizational projects, such as system upgrades or process improvements

Requirements:

Proficiency in accounting software systems, including ERP platforms
Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Experience with financial reporting and auditing practices
Ability to prepare and analyze journal entries and account reconciliations
Familiarity with tools such as ADP, Concur, and other financial systems
Excellent communication skills to interact with internal teams and external clients
High level of professionalism when handling confidential financial information
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
