12 month fixed-term contract. Adelaide based with hybrid work arrangements. True business partnering role for a commercially astute and forward thinking individual. The primary responsibility of this role is the oversight and management of Assets Under Construction (AUC), where you will investigate project expenditures and provide strategic insights into the capitalization of projects and optimize capitalization processes.
Job Responsibility:

Investigate project expenditures and provide strategic insights into the capitalization of projects and optimize capitalization processes
Monitor selected business areas
Perform meticulous balance sheet reconciliations
Manage queries from various Business Units to ensure financial accuracy
Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Close monthly results for Business Units
Prepare critical Financial Statement Analysis notes for Half-Year and Full-Year reporting
Support the wider team in driving continuous process improvements
End to end process ownership
Supporting timely and insightful reporting of the profit & loss results, balance sheet insights to respective finance teams / business partners
Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are prepared effectively inline with the Balance Sheet Reconciliation Guidelines
Resolution of business partner queries in a timely and professional manner
Maintain stakeholder relationships through attendance of regular meetings / engagement sessions
Assist with the preparation of notes to the Woolworths Financial Statements
Drive initiatives and strategies for continual improvement of processes in area of responsibility
Support a wide variety of projects and process improvements that are underway across the team
Requirements:
Finance related degree
CA or CPA qualification (or studying towards)
1-3 years of relevant experience
Expertise in reconciling complex accounts, including bank statements, general ledger accounts, and intercompany transactions
Understanding and practical application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Strong experience using financial systems in a commercial environment e.g. Google Suite, SAP, BPC, GCP and Excel
Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide insights for decision-making
Collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment
Strong organisational and time management skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences
Strong business partnering skills with an ability to grow and establish new or extended customer base
