We are partnering with a prominent pan-European real estate investment firm to hire a dedicated Accountant for their Athens finance hub.
Job Responsibility
Process daily accounting entries accurately, including invoices, payments, accruals, and prepayments
Actively support both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
Perform routine bank and General Ledger (GL) reconciliations to ensure data integrity
Assist the broader finance team with month-end, quarterly, and year-end closing cycles
Help manage and reconcile transactions between multiple international entities
Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for senior management, external advisors, and auditors
Maintain meticulously organized accounting files and backup documentation across all legal entities
Proactively contribute to refining accounting workflows and elevating the quality of financial outputs
Requirements
2–3 years in bookkeeping, accounting, audit, or junior finance roles
Strong understanding of core accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping
Proven ability to handle journal entries, reconciliations, and detailed transactional work across multiple entities
Solid Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with standard accounting software or ERP systems
Highly accurate, consistent, and detail-oriented
Full professional proficiency in English
Exposure to multinational corporate structures and intercompany accounting
Familiarity with IFRS-based reporting standards
Industry experience within real estate, private equity, investment management, or international corporate environments
Prior hands-on experience supporting formal audit processes and financial closes
