We are looking for a skilled full-time Accountant to join our team and ensure that our bookkeeping is always top-notch. At Hemab you will join a clinical-stage biotech company on an exciting journey to build the ultimate clotting company focusing on high unmet need for patients suffering from neglected bleeding and thrombotic disorders. Based in Cambridge, US and Copenhagen, Denmark. You will report directly to the Senior Manager, Finance and become an integral part of a small, dedicated finance team.

Job Responsibility

  • Accounts payable: Managing vendor invoices, payment runs, and AP reconciliations across our Danish and US entities
  • Day-to-day bookkeeping: Ongoing postings, accruals and reconciliations ensuring our books are accurate and up to date
  • Month-end close: Supporting the monthly financial close, financial statements, and intercompany reconciliations
  • VAT & tax compliance: Handling VAT filings and ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements
  • Process improvement: Spotting opportunities to work smarter – whether through AI tools, automation, or better use of our ERP system (Business Central 365)
  • Internal controls support: Preparation of documentation of controls as part of our internal controls program
