This is a hands-on accounting role supporting a portfolio of ~15–20 clients, with a heavy focus on day-to-day accounting and payroll. You’ll work independently while collaborating closely with leadership and clients in the office in Indianola.
Job Responsibility:
Client-based accounting and bookkeeping services
Payroll processing, including W-2s, payroll taxes, and filings
General ledger work, reconciliations, and month-end support
Supporting multiple entities and industries at once
Communicating directly with clients and internal team members
Using QuickBooks (Desktop & Online) and payroll systems
Participating in cross-training and supporting team coverage as needed
Requirements:
3–5+ years of accounting experience with strong payroll exposure
Solid understanding of payroll taxes, W-2s, and compliance
Experience in public accounting or multi-entity environments highly preferred
QuickBooks experience required
Confident, independent professional—not timid
Strong communicator who can accept feedback and learn 'the firm way' before suggesting change
