We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Temecula, California. This role involves supporting various accounting functions within the construction industry, requiring a keen attention to detail and familiarity with Sage 300 software. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to essential financial operations while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Job Responsibility:
Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records
Post deposits and manage journal entries with precision and timeliness
Process invoices, issue checks, and handle accounts payable tasks
Assist with property tax payments and tenant billing management
Support the filing of Form 3522 and ensure timely submissions
Reconcile financial statements and provide light reporting as needed
Maintain organized records for accounts payable and related documents
Provide administrative assistance for project management activities
Monitor promissory notes and entity agreements to ensure compliance
Utilize Sage 300 software for construction accounting tasks and reporting
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry
Proficiency in Sage 300 software is essential
Strong knowledge of accounts payable, general ledger, and accounts receivable processes
Demonstrated experience with journal entries and bank reconciliations
Familiarity with residential construction accounting practices
Ability to manage financial tasks with accuracy and efficiency
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
