Job Description:

Supports the day-to-day execution of general ledger impacted processes, including support to clients as they work with and understand these processes. Performs accounting functions specifically in the areas of account balancing, ledger reconciliation, reporting and discrepancy resolution.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supports day-to-day execution of general ledger impacted processes
  • Performs account balancing and ledger reconciliation
  • Coordinates and implements accounting work and projects
  • Complies with fraud and collection procedure laws
  • Generates accurate and timely reports
  • Analyzes information to solve problems
  • Balances credit card ledgers
  • Verifies contracts for groups
  • Monitors all applicable taxes
  • Maintains accounting and operational control environment
  • Completes period end functions
  • Provides direction on accounting policies
  • Manages quality process in customer service and employee satisfaction
  • Conducts human resources activities including interviewing and training

Requirements:

  • 4-year bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or related major
  • 2 years of experience working in a finance department of a hotel
  • Knowledge of P&L statements, operating budgets, forecasting and scheduling
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles and current company accounting policies
  • Knowledge of local Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (local GAAP)
  • Ability to perform auditing procedures
  • Knowledge of local payroll reporting and tax requirements
  • Knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
  • Basic computer skills
  • Mathematical reasoning skills
  • Oral and reading comprehension
  • Effective writing skills
