We are looking for a skilled and motivated Accountant to join our team in Nassau County, New York. This role involves full cycle accounting including financial statement preparation.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare and deliver accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with organizational standards
Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors
Handle accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing and tracking payments
Reconcile financial accounts to maintain accuracy and resolve discrepancies
Utilize Excel for advanced data analysis, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions
Support audits by providing required documentation and resolving inquiries
Monitor financial transactions and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial workflows and processes
Generate detailed reports to inform organizational decision-making
Maintain organized records and ensure documentation aligns with established policies
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience
Proficiency in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation and reporting
Experience with account reconciliation and resolving discrepancies
Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions
Ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent organizational and time-management capabilities
Familiarity with accounting systems and software is preferred
Must be able to work independently as well as within a team
