We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Walnut Creek, California. In this role, you will support essential financial operations and ensure accurate processing of transactions. Job Responsibility:
Support the general ledger close
Prepare, review, and post journal entries, including cash receipts, expenses, depreciation, and fixed assets
Reconcile general ledger accounts, including cash disbursement accounts
Maintain records for inventory, prepaids, licenses and permits, and property taxes
Assist with quarterly and annual forecasting
Prepare monthly sales tax payments and quarterly sales tax filings
Compile monthly reports, including AR and AP summaries, inventory status, and cash flow variance analysis
Support the Controller with special projects and other assigned tasks
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting with 2+ years of general ledger experience
Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting and reporting systems
Experience in financial analysis, forecasting, reconciliations, and expense review
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
able to explain accounting concepts to non-technical staff and prepare routine reports and documentation
Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
able to interpret and apply written, oral, and procedural instructions in varied situations
