Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Warwick, Rhode Island. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to manage various accounting functions, including month-end close activities and financial reconciliations. The ideal candidate will be proficient in QuickBooks and have experience with general ledger management, cash flow forecasting, and inventory accounting.

Job Responsibility:

Perform month-end close activities with a focus on inventory accounting and revenue recognition
manage and execute bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
prepare and post entries to the general ledger while maintaining comprehensive financial records
support cash flow forecasting and provide insights for financial planning
oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of transactions
utilize QuickBooks for accounting tasks, including payroll integration through Paychex
contribute to inventory accounting processes, including physical counts and report validations
collaborate with team members across accounts payable, collections, and billing functions
assist in maintaining and reviewing opening balance sheets and fixed asset registers.

Requirements:

Proven experience with QuickBooks, including handling complex accounting tasks
strong knowledge of general ledger management and month-end close procedures
proficiency in bank and credit card reconciliations
familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
ability to prepare and post accurate journal entries
experience with inventory accounting and physical count processes
strong communication skills for effective collaboration with various team members
attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple accounting functions.
