We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Chicago, Illinois. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage critical accounting functions while supporting various business operations. Job Responsibility:
Manage monthly billing operations, including processing high-volume international invoices using Fishbowl software
Oversee accounts payable processes by coordinating bill submissions to the shared services team
Support accounts receivable activities, ensuring accurate billing and timely forwarding to AP/AR shared services
Assist in tracking and reporting revenue across multiple business streams, including recurring dealer cost allocations
Prepare and maintain reports specific to operations at an out-of-state facility
Facilitate the transition of billing responsibilities to the parts department as workload decreases
Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping to support financial audits and compliance
Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency
Provide support for general ledger activities, including journal entries and reconciliations
Perform bank reconciliations and ensure proper alignment between accounts
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management
Strong knowledge of Excel formulas and advanced functionality within Microsoft Excel
Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems
Experience with journal entries and bank reconciliations
Ability to handle high-volume billing operations with exceptional attention to detail
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
