Job Description:

Detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Overland Park, Kansas. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to essential financial operations, including journal entries and account management.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare accurate and timely journal entries to ensure proper recording of financial transactions
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring compliance with company policies
Utilize advanced Excel formulas to analyze financial data and create detailed reports
Collaborate with internal teams to support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and other reporting requirements
Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Provide support for audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries
Continuously improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Requirements:

Proven experience in accounting with a focus on journal entries and general ledger management
Proficiency in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas and financial analysis
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Familiarity with accounting standards and regulatory compliance
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
