Job Description

We're looking for a forward-thinking Digital Accountant to join Storyblok's Finance team. This role is built for someone who loves accounting AND technology. Someone excited to work on AI-assisted, data-heavy projects and help us reimagine what modern finance looks like at a fast-growing SaaS company. You'll own core AP and GL processes while actively contributing to automation, tooling, and process innovation initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a SaaS or international environment with a focus on AP and VAT
  • Austrian Bilanzbuchhalter qualification (or active willingness to obtain it) strongly preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of per diem and reimbursement regulations across multiple countries
  • Working experience with bookkeeping, including payroll and/or business expenses
  • Hands-on experience with AP, P2P, and business expense tools such as Yokoy, Concur, or Expensify
  • Proficient in NetSuite and advanced Excel / Google Sheets
  • Strong understanding of VAT regulations and cross-border tax considerations
  • Strong affinity for technology and software
  • first ERP experience required (NetSuite, SAP, or Dynamics)
  • Highly organized with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Solid decision-making skills and the ability to assess multiple options and identify the best course of action
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • International mindset with strong English communication and writing skills
  • German is a strong plus
  • Enjoys training and walking team members through processes and tools
  • Good project management skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates AI literacy, with the ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, decision-making, and quality of work while applying sound judgment and critical thinking
