Job Description:

Accountant or Small Business Controller for a well-established Manufacturing client to manage accounting and finance activities in a multiple entity environment reporting into a parent company. Oversee accounting operations, handle reporting, and partner with senior leadership to ensure sound financial management.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead day-to-day accounting functions for Multiple Entities including the month end close, balance sheet account reconciliations, and maintain accurate workpapers and financial records
  • Prepare key financial reports including monthly and year-end statements, including the trial balances, income statements and balance sheets
  • Oversee budgeting, cash flow planning, and forecasting initiatives
  • Lead cash flow management and reporting
  • Work closely with departments heads and lead local audits
  • Supervise a small, tenured staff

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA preferred not required
  • Previous accounting or controllership experience in a small business setting preferred
  • Must have experience in preparing financial statements on a GAAP basis including the trial balance
  • Strong proficiency with accounting software
  • Strong Excel skills to build spreadsheets
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
