Our client in the Houston, TX area is seeking an Accountant II to join their team!

Job Responsibility

  • Participate in month-end close activities related to the general ledger
  • Prepare and review complex account reconciliations, including reconciliations between financial systems
  • Analyze financial data to identify variances, trends, and potential issues
  • Support the integrity and accuracy of system-based accounting data
  • Identify opportunities to enhance accounting procedures and recommend system or process improvements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 2+ years of professional accounting experience
  • Solid understanding of financial accounting principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills
