Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, preferably within a multinational or tech company, and will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and supporting the financial health of our EU operations.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with local regulations and company policies
Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and payment of invoices
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including the preparation and filing of tax returns
Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and information
Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, accounts, and financial data
Monitor and manage company expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints
Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings
Coordinate with payroll consultant and outside accounting firms
Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and systems
Work closely with other departments, including HR and operations, to ensure accurate financial reporting and support business initiatives

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multinational or tech company
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Netsuite) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Strong understanding of European (in particular Italy) accounting standards and tax regulations
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Italian native speaker
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Nice to have:

Proficiency in other European languages is a plus
