Job Description:

We are looking for an entry-level Accountant to support core financial operations for a Contract position based in Century City. This opportunity is well suited for someone who is eager to build hands-on experience across payables, receivables, reconciliations, and routine journal activity in a detail-oriented accounting environment. The person in this role will contribute to accurate recordkeeping, assist with day-to-day transaction processing, and help maintain the integrity of financial data. This position requires you to be on-site 5 days a week.

Job Responsibility:

  • Process vendor invoices and prepare payments while verifying supporting documentation and coding accuracy
  • Record customer payments and assist with tracking outstanding balances to support timely accounts receivable activity
  • Perform bank account reviews and reconcile transactions by researching discrepancies and resolving unmatched items
  • Support account reconciliation efforts for balance sheet and general ledger accounts on a recurring basis
  • Prepare and post routine accounting entries with close attention to accuracy and proper classification
  • Maintain organized financial records and documentation to support audits, reporting needs, and internal review
  • Collaborate with accounting team members to investigate variances and follow up on transaction-related questions

Requirements:

  • Exposure to or foundational knowledge of accounts payable and invoice processing
  • Understanding of accounts receivable principles and cash application procedures
  • Familiarity with bank reconciliations and account matching techniques
  • Ability to prepare accounting entries with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple routine tasks effectively
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet tools and comfort working with financial data
  • Clear communication skills and a willingness to learn in a team-oriented accounting setting
