We are looking for an entry-level Accountant to support day-to-day financial operations for a manufacturing organization in Parsippany, New Jersey. This Long-term Contract position is well suited for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to build hands-on experience across core accounting activities. The role offers exposure to transactional processing, reconciliations, and accounting system work while contributing to accurate and timely financial records.
Job Responsibility
Process and review accounting transactions to ensure financial data is recorded accurately and completely
Assign and validate account codes for invoices, expenses, and other financial documents in accordance with established guidelines
Support accounts payable activities by entering invoices, matching documentation, and helping maintain timely payment processing
Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to help maintain accurate ledger balances
Prepare journal entries and assist with routine month-end accounting tasks under the guidance of senior team members
Use accounting software, including ERP tools and Dynamics NAV, to enter, update, and maintain financial information
Analyze account activity and compile supporting documentation for internal reporting and audit readiness
Maintain organized digital records and utilize Adobe Acrobat to review, prepare, and manage accounting documents
Requirements
Experience or training in basic accounting principles, financial recordkeeping, and general accounting procedures
Familiarity with account coding, journal entries, and account reconciliation processes
Working knowledge of accounting software systems, including ERP platforms such as Dynamics NAV
Exposure to accounts payable workflows and invoice processing practices
Ability to review financial information carefully and identify inconsistencies or errors
Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat and standard office tools used for documentation and record management
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
