We are looking for a detail-oriented Entry Level Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis. Job Responsibility:

Review and interpret contracts to ensure accurate financial setup and compliance
Assist in preparing pricing models, cost proposals, and validating profit margins
Set up projects in Oracle and input budgets along with rate structures
Monitor and update project budgets throughout their lifecycle to ensure alignment with financial goals
Track costs, revenue, subcontractor values, and purchase orders for comprehensive financial oversight
Evaluate invoices from subcontractors and ensure proper documentation and accuracy
Generate reports on labor costs, trends, and overall project financial health
Collaborate with project managers to provide accurate forecasts and financial updates
Work closely with departments such as Legal, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Billing, and Operations
Support financial closeouts by reconciling budgets, final costs, and ensuring compliance with financial controls

Requirements:

Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures
Experience with bank reconciliations and account reconciliation tasks
Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) workflows and accounting entries
Understanding of project accounting principles and cost tracking
Ability to manage approved invoices and maintain accuracy
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
Proficiency in financial software, such as Oracle, is highly desirable
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
