Job Description:

The A2R – Product Costing Senior Professional Provide L2/L3 support for SAP CO-PC incidents, defects, and service requests, ensuring adherence to SLAs. Execute and monitor critical period-end closing activities, including Costing Runs, Material Ledger (ML) closing, WIP calculation, variance analysis, COPA and settlement. Works closely with: Manufacturing & Supply Chain teams, Finance Controllers, Data & Test Teams, AMS Partners, SAP COE Leads

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide L2/L3 support for SAP CO-PC incidents, defects, and service requests, ensuring adherence to SLAs
  • Execute and monitor critical period-end closing activities, including Costing Runs, Material Ledger (ML) closing, WIP calculation, variance analysis, COPA and settlement
  • Act as the liaison between business process owners, functional consultants, and the offshore/onshore technical team
  • Provide L3 functional support for SAP S/4HANA Product Costing covering: Material cost estimates, Cost component splits, Standard and moving average price management, Inventory valuation and postings
  • Resolve complex issues related to: Cost rollups, Price differences, Settlement and variance postings, Integration between PP, MM, CO, and FI
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close for costing and inventory valuation
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring and critical Product Costing issues
  • Identify configuration gaps, process weaknesses, and data defects
  • Drive permanent fixes through controlled change
  • Analyses business change requests related to: Cost management&control, Cost estimates&std. prices, Variances
  • Design and implement: Configuration changes, Functional specifications/Technical Specifications, Testing and UAT support
  • Ensure changes comply with: ESPHORA Template set up, Internal controls, Audit requirements
  • Ensure reconciliation between: Inventory valuation (Material ledger – FI General Ledger), Data flow in Margin Analysis
  • Support financial controls, audit queries, compliance reviews, global transfer prices process and management/legal reporting

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or related discipline
  • 8–12 years experience in SAP Controlling
  • 4–6 years hands-on experience in Product Costing and all other CO modules
  • Account-to-Report processes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with high attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with business stakeholders and technical teams
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, tickets, and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience documenting data policies, functional specifications, technical specifications
  • Strong hand-on configuration skills on SAP S/4HANA Controlling/SAP ECC Controlling with focus on Product Costing
  • SAP S/4HANA on other Controlling modules like: Margin Analysis, Overhead Management, Project Systems
  • Excellent understanding of integration with PP, MM, CO and FI
  • Good understanding of end-to-end processes related to material life cycle
  • Product Cost Planning (CO-PC-PCP): Costing variants, valuation variants, cost component structure, and marking/releasing standard costs
  • Cost Object Controlling (CO-PC-OBJ): Production order costing, cost collectors, WIP calculation, and settlement
  • Actual Costing/Material Ledger (CO-PC-ACT): In-depth knowledge of actual cost calculation, multi-level price determination, and inventory valuation
