As a visionary Account Technology Unit Leader covering Pharma, Life Sciences, Telecommunications, Professional Services, Media, Travel and Transport for Switzerland you will be responsible to unlock new levels of business performance and address critical market challenges. Your role involves spearheading strategic initiatives designed to drive exponential revenue and consumption / usage growth and fostering alignment among leadership teams across diverse markets within your area. You will champion the adoption of AI-driven transformation while implementing change strategies that resonate with C-suite executives and elevate customer satisfaction. By proactively identifying emerging market opportunities and trends, you will represent Microsoft as an industry pioneer and thought leader. Your expertise will shape scalable go-to-market strategies, promote the adoption of innovative cloud solutions and leverage partnerships to deliver innovative solutions that fuel market expansion. Cultivating a culture of inclusion, mentorship and accountability will be central to your leadership as you inspire and reward high-performing, diverse teams. Finally, you will foster collaboration across executive networks and strategic partnerships, paving the way for sustainable long-term growth that impacts the entire ecosystem.

Job Responsibility

  • Actively and visibly sponsors transformation initiatives across areas, including Coaching for Impact and learning programs to upskill the business, industry, AI and leadership proficiency of your direct team and the V-Team
  • Creates a consumption culture that drives a rolling 12-month Account Team Unit (ATU) created Stage 1 Azure Consumed Revenue (ACR) pipeline and Usage pipeline
  • Dedicates time weekly for each market to build a consistent coaching rhythm with manager and direct teams on how they can enable their teams to succeed across Field Revenue Accountability (FRA) Consumption, Usage Excellence, Orchestration and in attracting, developing and retaining talent
  • Leads the charge as the ambassador for The Era of AI, positioning it with senior level decision makers at our customers as well as engagement with Executives in GSIs and Advisories
  • Drives accountability by leading and representing the Area in weekly, monthly and quarterly Enterprise and ATU rhythms of connection
  • Build credibility by developing an understanding of industry imperatives, competitive landscapes, customer executive priorities, partner sponsorship and building strategic partnerships focused on TAM capture and Horizons 2 and 3
  • Continues progress on Enterprise Operating Unit (EOU) orchestration, driving alignment across ATU shared resource
  • Promote success through empowerment and accountability, demonstrating modeling, coaching, and support for your team
  • Attract, retain, and develop talent to build and transform your team, ensuring alignment with industry and customer requirements
  • Utilize industry and market expertise to lead teams in identifying solutions that drive new opportunities, develop industry-specific capabilities, and navigate relevant local trade, regulatory, and policy environments to enable sales teams, partners, and customers across regions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's / Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering (e.g., Electrical or Mechanical), Business Management, Economics, or related field AND extensive experience in sales, managing high performance sales and technical-sales teams, and/or leadership roles in multi-tiered large organizations OR equivalent experience
  • Extensive experience in senior sales leadership roles in multi-tiered large organizations
  • Extensive experience in managing and coaching high-performance sales and/or technical-sales teams
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English, with the ability to produce executive-level materials and drive clarity across diverse audiences
  • Exceptional business understanding, sales acumen, and a proven track record of driving growth and transformation at customers within the respective industries and within corporations.

  • Experience working with C-Level executives
  • Proven ability to lead organizational or teams through change
  • German and French language skills are a plus.
