As an Account Manager on our SMB Services team, you’ll be at the forefront of helping diverse, dynamic business owners thrive with Square. Reporting to our Services lead, your role is all about building meaningful partnerships with clients in the services space—understanding their unique needs, crafting innovative solutions, and championing them within Square. The Services industry has a long list of complex needs that span a variety of business types. We are hiring someone who is passionate about helping Services business owners succeed through retaining and growing sellers at 250k to $2M GPV. In this role, you’ll become a creative problem-solver, finding ways to tailor our products to suit an array of complex business scenarios. As a trusted advisor, you’ll not only support clients day-to-day but also uncover new growth opportunities, expanding partnerships that fuel their success. Job Responsibility:
Be responsible for growing and retaining a multi-million dollar customer base
Understand Services, Entertainment, and Leisure customer needs to help achieve their business goals through Square
Cross sell and upsell products based on discovering customer needs
Effectively and strategically address customer concerns and issues
Help grow our managed accounts program through multiple seller touch points
Work with our Sales, Support and Product teams to ensure customers have the best possible experience across all aspects of Square
Requirements:
2+ years experience in Sales, Account Management or related field
Experience discovering and closing sales opportunities and building client relationships
Experience successfully managing a pipeline to achieve revenue targets
Excellent organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
Passion and knowledge about how new technologies can help better serve small and medium size businesses
Experience within the Services (Subverticals: Health & Beauty, Entertainment & Leisure, Home Repair, Healthcare & Fitness and Home Repair) industry is preferred
