We are looking for an Account Manager to join our Chinese Category team. Reporting to the Client Partner (Regional), this is a rare opportunity to join a rapidly growing tech company and drive the growth of Chinese restaurants across Cambridge, Oxford, Bristol & Brighton. The role will be commercially focused and require cross-functional collaboration with teams across the Deliveroo business (e.g. Account Management, Restaurant Support, Sales, Marketing) to ensure the Chinese Category is performing to its best. You will work with hundreds of the highest performing Chinese restaurants, build relationships with them, seek to understand their businesses, and use your analytical skills to drive growth and profitability. This is an excellent role for a commercial and outgoing individual who enjoys building and maintaining relationships.
Job Responsibility:
Maintaining and growing relationships between Deliveroo and our top Chinese restaurant partners through strong communication both face-to-face and remotely
Driving restaurant performance through data analysis and industry knowledge to maximise order volume and growth potential through Deliveroo
Negotiating contracts and terms of partnership
Liaising with our restaurant and rider operations teams to improve operational efficiencies
Working with marketing teams to accelerate restaurant order growth
Innovating and presenting new ideas to increase Deliveroo growth and efficiencies
Being a local expert for your category and understanding the market
Requirements:
Fluent speaker and writer in Mandarin (and/or Cantonese would be a bonus!)
Professional experience in Sales or Account Management
Effective relationship-building and communication skills whether face-to-face, through phone or email
Strong commercial acumen and comfortable understanding and using data
Results-orientated, with a track record of achieving targets and successful negotiations
Experience in working in a dynamic high-growth company is preferable
Self-starter, hard worker and well-organised
An interest in all things food and restaurants
Ability to work autonomously whilst out meeting restaurant partners in Cambridge, Oxford, Bristol & Brighton
