Job Responsibility
Manage and grow an established portfolio of customer accounts while building long-term relationships with key decision-makers
Develop new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and lead generation
Prepare sales plans, forecasts, and account strategies to achieve growth targets
Negotiate pricing and provide customers with informed recommendations based on market conditions, supply, and product availability
Conduct regular client visits to strengthen partnerships and identify opportunities for expansion
Collaborate with internal teams to maximize cross-selling opportunities
Provide account coverage and support for fellow Account Managers when required
Serve as a trusted advisor by delivering exceptional customer service and follow-through
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of sales and/or account management experience within the perishable food industry
Direct experience selling or managing accounts involving produce, seafood, dairy, meat, or other food distribution products is required
Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and customer service skills
Proven ability to manage accounts while developing new business opportunities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional client-facing presence
Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-driven
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
Nice to have
Post-secondary education in Business, Economics, or a related field is considered an asset
