In this pivotal position, you'll manage and develop relationships with key clients in the manufacturing space while identifying and converting new business opportunities. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams - particularly sales, production, and customer service - to ensure accurate quoting and delivery of effective, technical solutions.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and maintain strong client relationships, particularly within the manufacturing sector, to understand technical requirements and operational challenges
Prepare and present accurate and detailed manufacturing quotes, proposals, and supporting documentation, ensuring alignment with internal processes and production capabilities
Conduct regular meetings with clients and prospects, and provide clear reports and feedback to internal stakeholders
Monitor account performance, highlighting any risks, inefficiencies, or opportunities for growth
Support internal teams with technical input on manufacturing specifications and feasibility during the quoting process
Maintain and grow a robust opportunity pipeline using CRM systems
Liaise with estimating and production teams to ensure that quotes are commercially viable and technically accurate
Work closely with operations, engineering, and sales to deliver tailored client solutions
Contribute to commercial reporting, demand planning, and sales forecasting
Requirements:
Proven experience in account management within a manufacturing or industrial environment
Demonstrated experience preparing detailed quotes for technical or custom manufacturing projects
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret technical data and translate it into commercially viable solutions
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proactive and customer-centric mindset
Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and client demands
Confident user of CRM systems, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
