Job Description

The Account Manager will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and building strong relationships with vendors and customers. The role requires a proactive and strategic approach to achieving sales targets and driving customer engagement.

Job Responsibility

  • Achieve monthly and annual gross profit (GP) targets set by the business
  • Develop a full understanding of assigned accounts and create structured growth plans for each
  • Proactively identify and pursue new prospects within key growth markets and technologies
  • Foster strong internal collaboration across enterprise departments
  • Support vendor and commercial-led initiatives and activities as required
  • Actively engage in education and training opportunities provided by the business and vendors
  • Work with management to ensure personal and professional objectives are met
  • Develop and execute short-, medium-, and long-term business plans aligned with company goals
  • Maintain a highly organised and structured approach to account management
  • Meet defined role metrics and KPIs

Requirements

  • Proven experience in account management, sales, or business development within the technology sector
  • Strong understanding of enterprise technology solutions, including server, storage, infrastructure, and ideally networking solutions
  • Ability to build and nurture long-term relationships with both customers and vendors
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Proactive, target-driven mindset with a strong focus on revenue and gross profit delivery
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience using CRM systems and working in a data-driven sales environment
