Reporting into the Regional Sales Manager, you will play a key role in driving our mission forward by managing and expanding a portfolio of SME clients. The position focuses on providing effective waste management solutions, building long-term customer relationships, retaining existing business, and identifying opportunities for growth and additional services.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and develop a portfolio of SME clients, ensuring contracts are delivered within agreed budgets, profitability targets, and compliance requirements
Build strong, long-term customer relationships through regular engagement and the proactive resolution of contractual and operational issues to support retention
Conduct regular account reviews to assess pricing, service delivery, value, and profitability, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and contract growth
Share updates on new technologies, innovations, and legislative changes through customer presentations, waste awareness sessions, audits, and site visits
Support revenue growth by identifying upselling opportunities, generating sales appointments, preparing quotations, supporting sales initiatives, and implementing price increases where required
Act as a key point of contact, working collaboratively with customers, customer services, depot and regional operations teams, and subcontractors to ensure a high-quality service experience
Ensure full compliance with all Company policies and procedures including health and safety and employment
Any other duties, such as ad hoc projects, as requested by the job holder’s Manager/Supervisor or the Board of Directors that are within the skills and capabilities of the job holder
Requirements:
At least two years’ experience in contract management or a similar role
Confident and professional communicator with strong presentation skills and an effective telephone manner
Able to build and maintain positive working relationships with customers and colleagues
Strong commitment to delivering high-quality customer service with excellent attention to detail
Highly organised and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving work environment
