As an Account Manager for BES Group, you will be responsible for proactively managing and retaining our customers. You will act as a dedicated point of contact for your portfolio of medium sized accounts (£10,000-£50,000).
Job Responsibility:
Build and develop sustainable customer relationships to deliver targeted results supporting profitable growth, retention, and service
Proactively manage customer relationships, regularly contacting and updating customers
Take accountability for customer queries, using internal and external relationships to ensure timely and accurate resolution
Handle customer requests on policy updates, queries, and renewals
Manage customer interactions in an efficient, courteous, and timely manner while setting and meeting customer expectations
Use influencing and negotiation skills to retain business, generate leads, create new opportunities, and expand client relationships
Cross-sell relevant services and insurance to increase sales revenue
Review and analyse customer accounts to ensure informed financial decisions
Make balanced, informed decisions on customer accounts, considering the needs of both customers and BES Group
Follow agreed processes and procedures to consistently achieve customer service standards
Plan and manage your own workload effectively, adapting to changing customer priorities
Strive for service excellence, focusing on continuous improvement, efficiency, and customer retention
Requirements:
Proven track record of working directly with a variety of customers and within the customer environment
Strong negotiation, influencing, and proactive sales skills with outstanding commercial acumen
Ability to build effective relationships at all levels and handle challenging conversations confidently
Excellent attention to detail, with strong numerical and analytical skills to support quality, profitable decision-making
Good understanding of statutory inspection, supporting legislation, and ideally knowledge of the Insurance or Inspection market
Evidence of delivering measurable results, including customer retention, upselling, business growth, and contribution to team performance
Ability to manage workload effectively while adapting to changing customer and business priorities
Nice to have:
Sales Support or Account Management experience within Engineering, Inspection or Insurance
