As an Account Manager, you’ll be the friendly face, sharp mind, and trusted advisor supporting Members across your region with plenty of room to innovate, try new ideas, and shape how we work. Job Responsibility:
Build strong, trust-based relationships with farmers and rural businesses across your region
Deliver exceptional, proactive service, sharing updates, insights, and practical guidance to help Members stay ahead of the market
Conduct virtual and in-person account reviews, turning data into clear, actionable value
Spot opportunities for Members to save money, use more of our procurement services and unlock missed potential
Keep Members up to speed on new products, shifting prices, seasonal buying windows, and market trends
Work closely with Procurement to feed in Member needs and real-world intelligence
Partner with Marketing & Comms to support engagement campaigns and help Members understand the power of what we do
Attend events, shows, open days, and industry gatherings representing AF and strengthening relationships across the rural community
Champion Members internally, helping shape our service and drive continuous improvement
Maintain accurate CRM notes to keep everyone aligned
Support new Members with onboarding and unlock early value from day one
Requirements:
Are a natural relationship-builder who enjoys meeting people and nurturing long-term partnerships
Communicate clearly, confidently, and with empathy
Are organised, proactive, and comfortable planning your own workload across a broad area
Enjoy problem-solving and can translate Member challenges into smart, practical solutions
Are digitally confident and comfortable using CRM systems
Understand UK agriculture or rural business operations or have a genuine desire to deepen your knowledge
Have experience in Account Management, Sales, Business Development, or another Member-facing role
Love working independently but collaborate brilliantly with a wider team
Are commercially minded, curious, and always on the lookout for opportunities to add value
Nice to have:

What we offer:
Salary of up to £40,000 per annum + £6,500 car allowance
26 days holiday + bank holidays, rising with each year of service (up to 7 additional days)
