This position will manage customers on the West Coast of the US with an emphasis on innovator companies. In addition to product sales, this position will also be responsible for sales targets for contract drug delivery service businesses such as; Vancouver Labs™ (nanoparticle development and manufacturing services), Birmingham Labs™ (microparticle development and commercial injectable fill/finish services), oral development services (sustained release, modified release and solubility enhancement) and custom polymer development and manufacturing services.
Job Responsibility:
Generate revenue and contribution margin for assigned accounts and new customers across products such as EUDRAGIT®, PlasACRYL™, RESOMER®, cQRex™, REXIM®, Northern Lipids® and related APIs/intermediates
Drive sales of contract drug delivery services including Vancouver Labs™, Birmingham Labs™, oral development services, and custom polymer development/manufacturing services
Negotiate and execute confidentiality, supply, service, and quality agreements with target accounts
Conduct customer meetings to promote products, identify opportunities, and qualify prospects with internal technical experts
Prepare proposals, offers, and project submissions in collaboration with technical teams
Participate in key account teams, regional business meetings, conferences, tradeshows, and project teams to expand market reach
Maintain accurate CRM records, including contact details, visit reports, forecasts, and project opportunities
Implement sales and marketing strategies to grow existing accounts and develop new customers in a high-potential territory
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required (Technical or Business degree preferred)
Minimum 2 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in sales or technical roles
Knowledge of drug delivery systems, solubility enhancement, and modified release formulations is preferred
Strong relationship-building, networking, and contract negotiation skills
Proven ability to sell complex products and services and manage a large, diverse customer base
Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of coordinating multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to understand varied product lines and drug delivery technologies to identify new opportunities
Willingness to engage with internal global teams and external stakeholders across R&D, purchasing, manufacturing, regulatory, and quality functions
